is the title of Elbrus Mountain. Once there was a volcano Elbrus,
but long since extinct, and covered with glaciers.
Elbrus Summit Tour with professional guides - the ascent to the
highest peak not only in Russia but also in Europe. Elbrus Mountain
is located on the border of Kabardino-Balkaria Region and
Karachay-Cherkessia Region. The West Peak altitude is 5642 meters,
an altitude of East Peak is 5621 m.
The classic summit of Elbrus Mountain is from the South, and goes
to the West Peak (5642 m). We do summit of Elbrus Mountain
on the other hand - by the northern slope. The North route is going
to the East Peak of Elbrus, 5621 m.
The northern slope of Elbrus is less frequently visited by tourists and climbers. The route technically is a bit more difficult than southern route, however, is more interesting. There is no cableway and snow mobiles which can ride almost to the top, as from the south. You will walk through the picturesque landscape all the way from Polyana Emanuelya (alt. 2500 m.). The nature and landscapes of the northern slope of the Elbrus Mountainare is not similar to any part of the North Caucasus. There are mineral springs Djyly-Su on Emanuel Meadow (Polyana Emanuelya in Russian). And an old German airfield from the times of 2nd World War on the way to the camp, at 3800 m altitude. And beautiful creation of wind - stone mushrooms will be also on our way.
